At Our Church we live out our promise to help others by providing our members the opportunity to serve. There is a wide variety of missions for you to get involved with.
Bumpkinsville Food Pantry
There continues to be a tremendous need for food assistance in our community. An opportunity to give non-perishable items and money is given on the second weekend of each month. In addition, Our Church provides 4 volunteers to work at the food pantry on the third Friday of each month.
Homeless Shelter Together we can bring the homeless all the way home. The shelter has been delivering basic services to the homeless in the local area for more than ten years. Every month on the third Saturday a team of volunteers from Our Church prepare and serve a hot meal at the shelter.

Our Church has partnered with other churches in the area to help Habitat for Humanity build safe and affordable housing for families in need. Some have contributed their time, building skills and money. Our Church plans to again provide all labor on a Habitat home in 2008.
Youth Home Established in 1979, the Youth Home is a faith-based organization that serves abused, troubled and neglected young people. It provides assistance to youth that might be overlooked or even forgotten without their services. Our Church has been involved with the youth home by helping with painting, landscaping, sponsoring out-of-town youth groups who come to work at UMYH, collecting school supplies and teaching the girls how to cook.
If you are interested in volunteering for one of our outreach ministries, call the church office at 812-555-1212, or email us at

Jesus said that wherever two or three gather in His name, He is there in their midst. (Matt. 18:20)
Many life-changing groups of all kinds meet in homes throughout the area every week; they are the key places where people at all spiritual seasons take steps to grow. Build authentic relationships, study the Bible, and make a difference serving your neighbors through involvement in small groups.
Our Church offers three types of small groups:
"Discover" Small Groups are great places to develop friendships with people who are checking out faith or are new Christ-followers.
"Develop" Small Groups strive to help growing Christ-followers take meaningful next-steps.
"Deepen" Small Groups can help people who have been consistently following Christ for years live out their values and continue to grow in their walk with Christ.
We also have various themed small groups throughout the year, and are listed and announced as they are offered. Some of these include Financial Peace University, Men's Studies and other topical studies as chosen.
If you are interested in finding out more about our small groups, or to find the location of a small group nearest you, please call the church office at 812-555-1212 or email us at

A nursery is available during each of our services. The nursery is staffed by volunteers who have undergone background checks and life saving training. Volunteers teach our little ones about Christ through a specially designed curriculum that is fun and interactive.
Sunday School Our Sunday school classes, for children up through the 5th grade, meet during each service during our worship time. Children meet in classes to learn age appropriate Bible teaching led by caring, devoted teachers who share the love of Christ with children.
